What Your Body Knows

August 15th, 2010 · Uncategorized

Does God Love Me?

Your body knows things that your conscious mind doesn’t. You can discover what it knows simply by asking it. A few years ago, I took a hypnosis class in Phoenix at the Southwest Institute of Healing Arts titled subconscious intervention. The approach is to tap into the subconscious mind to release blocks that may unknowingly influence your life.

Muscle testing is used to talk to the body. Muscle testing is a technique that typically uses the muscles of the arm to receive yes/no responses to questions that are asked. The tester will lightly press at the wrist of the client’s outstretched arm. If the arm remains stable in response to a question, the answer is yes; if the arm becomes weak and falls, the answer is no.

Now, back to my story. In the class, we asked our bodies about several issues—about money, weight, ourselves, and God’s love for us. We were asked to respond to three questions related to each issue, indicating whether we thought (mind), felt (emotions), and believed (subconscious) that X is true for us.

When asked whether I thought that God loves me, my body responded with a strong “yes.” When asked whether I felt that God loves me, my body also responded with a strong “yes.” However, when asked if I believed that God loves me, my response was a surprising (to me), “no.” When the answer is no, the tester asks additional questions to get to the root of the response, ascertaining the time (current or past life) and reasons for the no response.

Within the questioning process, my body related that I didn’t believe that God loves me because when I was in the hospital in the intensive care unit after a major asthma attack, I was out of my body, floating around the room and ready to go, but no one came for me. Because of that, I believed that if God didn’t come for me, God didn’t love me. Now I realize that God does love me, but I wasn’t yet done with my activities here on earth.

Do you know that God truly does love you, just as every one of us is loved?

Appreciation and Gratitude

Be Thankful

How often do we focus on what we don’t have, what we want, rather than what we are thankful for?

A few days ago, I was doing an exercise in a book by life coach Morgana Rae. The exercise asks you to list one hundred things that you are thankful for. One hundred! I thought, how will I ever come up with 100 things that I am thankful for? We all can easily cite our families, our pets, our jobs, having a home and food to eat. So the first few items on the list were easy to come up with. Then I got stuck…What else was I thankful for? Then I realized that there are many, many categories of things that I am thankful for.

Living in the desert, I am truly thankful for rain. I am thankful for airplanes so that I can easily go see my relatives in Pennsylvania. I am thankful for sunsets, trees, and grass–all the many wonders that nature provides. (I’m not sure that I am thankful for ticks, though. That one is kind of tough. If you’ve ever had one crawling up your arm, you can probably understand!) I am thankful for modern conveniences–internet service, computers, and of the course the more basic wonders–running water and electricity!

What are you truly thankful for? What would be on your list of 100? Think about it and allow yourself to feel the gratitude for everything that you have and that you experience in life. God and the universe appreciate our thankful feelings and our acknowledgement of everything that we receive. By sending out graditute and appreciation, we open ourselves to receive even more.

Signs from Animal Spirit Guides

Spider Talks

Our animal spirit guides often send us messages. So pay attention to any signals that they may be sending you. I received a message just this week from Spider. (Note that Spider is capitalized to indicate the Spirit Guide; lower case spider refers to an individual spider.)

I was sitting watching TV a couple of days ago and noticed a spider crawling on my arm. I brushed it away, thinking how odd that was– I almost never see a spider in my house. Being aware that the spider could be a sign from Spider, I looked up the meaning of Spider in a deck of oracle cards (Steven Farmer’s Messages from Your Spirit Guides Oracle Cards), and discovered that Spider is a sign of creativity, communication, and writing. This definitely held meaning for me as I have been working on a book, but haven’t done much lately.

The next night I was sitting at my computer, and kept opening the lid of the box of oracle cards. I normally don’t do anything like that while I am working, so I noted that it was a bit odd. The next day, however, it all came together. I found another spider crawling on my arm (not the same one as before—they looked quite a bit different). So… I went to the card deck and picked a card. Guess what it was? Yes. Spider. Ok—I finally got it! Work on the book…NOW!

It is said that if signs come in threes (in my case, 2 spiders and the Spider card), you should pay attention. So be aware of any signs that come your way over the next few days. You may be surprised what you discover.

Regression Experiences

Regression Experiences

During a between lives regression that I had a few months ago, my guide asked me to go to the place I was before I came to Earth. Being good at following directions, I went there. I and a few others were on a planet that appeared to be dry and lacking life. I had a staff in my hand. When asked what I used the staff form I was unsure at first. Then I realized that we used the staffs to help create vegetation. We formed a circle; no one could do the work on their own. All of us touched our staffs to the ground to create an energetic change on the planet, a change that would allow it to produce life. Sounds far-fetched? Yes, some regression experiences are like that. It doesn’t matter if you think the experience or memory is real or something that you made up.

The objective of a regression (past lives or between lives) is often to help you see things differently or to understand a relationship. So it doesn’t matter if you think that you are just making up what you are saying or if you truly believe that you are experiencing a past life. The goal is change and whatever form that takes for you, whether regression or another type of healing, is perfect for you. In my case described above, I discovered that I had a real connection to the earth and to growing things. I have always enjoyed being outdoors in the forest or planting flowers in my garden. My regression supported that and also reminded me that community is important. I tend to be a bit of a homebody, and I often need to be reminded that spending time with my friends and others is also important.

Space People

Space People are With Us

Are you a native Earth being?  Do you sometimes feel like you don’t belong here? Do you have trouble with any of the foods we humans typically eat? Do you sometimes have dreams or memories of places that don’t look like Earth? If so, you may be from somewhere else.  Yes, you may be an ET.

God and the spiritual Masters have requested help for Earth, asking enlightened beings from other places to come here to incarnate as humans to help us grow as spiritual beings. Just like an immigrant who comes to the United States from elsewhere, beings come here from other planets in other galaxies.  Some beings who are not originally from Earth have actually been here for many, many lifetimes, and now identify themselves as  Earth beings., just as eventually an immigrant’s children or grandchildren will no longer identify with their home country and instead consider themselves to be Americans (which they are).

Many children being born today are not originally from Earth.  They are incarnating here to help our planet and to help us become more God-like. Names such as crystal children and rainbow children have been used to describe these children because they are often different from the norm.  Sometimes they are autistic, perhaps because on their home planets they are telepathic, or they speak in a different format.  Imagine if you came from a place where your body was different, the foods were different, and people interacted differently.  It would be a challenge to fit in, wouldn’t it?  That’s often the challenge these children face.  If you are such a child or know of such a child, offer your assistance and service.

Trees are just like US

Trees are Just Like Us

Maia Kincaid talks to plants and animals. This discussion between Maia and a tree reminded me so much of how some of us humans behave that I wanted to share it, with thanks to Ms. Kincaid.

“Tree: I never really sent my roots out. So I have remained relatively small above ground too. I didn’t want to crowd anyone, meanwhile they are all wrapped around each other and doing really well. I am in my own little space, keeping a small distance from them and I am puny while they are wrapped up with one another and thriving around me. I think they are having fun too!

Kincaid: Did they have any suggestions as to how you could become vibrantly healthy like they are?

Tree: Yes, they thought it best for me to send my roots out far and wide and to connect and wrap around theirs. They even said they would guide me if I grabbed a hold of their arms! This will require that I put my focus on my base instead of my above ground parts.”

How many of us avoid being with others, feeling that we are not wanted, not important? Yet we are all members of the human community and we are all add our own vibration to the mix.

Karma and You

Karma and You

Karma is the result of our past actions. In simple terms, we can think of karma as the law of cause and effect. If we do something good, we receive goodness in return; if we do something not-so-good, the result are correspondingly not-so-good. The reason for karma is to help us learn, to help us become more God-like, that is, more loving, more forgiving, more peaceful. Because we typically only learn through our experiences, we have to go through many learning cycles here on earth.
What types of actions create karma? All kinds of actions can create karma. Sometimes the karmic consequence is fairly direct, but other times it is more convoluted. Let’s look at two examples.

Example 1: Sally lived a life in the 1800s on the prairie with her husband Sam and young son. The young son died in a tragic accident and Sally never recovered from the incident. Sally and Sam never have other children and live alone, avoiding interacting with others in the community. At the end of the prairie life, after her death, Sally realizes that she could have helped raise other children by inviting them into her home and her sphere, even though she had none of her own. As a result, in Sally’s next life, she has several children and welcomes others into her home. Her soul knows that it is not just her biological children that must be nurtured, but all children.

Example 2: Joe was an American soldier fighting the Japanese during World War II. During that time he developed a strong hatred of anything Japanese. In Joes’ next life he was born to a Japanese couple in Tokyo. This transposition, living the life of a Japanese man, will allow Joe to release those negative emotions that he had towards the Japanese.

Thoughts are Energy

July 6th, 2010 · Uncategorized

Thoughts are Energy

Yes, thoughts are energy. Your body is a network of energetic movement; electrical and chemical reactions are happening all the time. When you think, you are creating electrical and chemical changes in your brain. And just like electrical impulses or chemical reactions outside your body, these create energy. Think about it: When someone is really angry at you, can’t you just feel the energy?

Your thoughts create energy and energy moves out from you and has an effect on everything. If more people on the planet could exude that energy as compassion and love then we would not see the issues that we see today. However it is only a more advanced soul that has this insight. By thinking, meditation, if you will, on the finer, more pure and beautiful aspects of humanity – caring, compassion, love, justice—by even thinking those thoughts, you are creating change.

What energy are you releasing into the world today?

Knowing God

July 4th, 2010 · Uncategorized

Knowing God

We are all God. God is in us and we are part of God. So to know God, we need to know other people. We can discover parts of God in everyone. Look for the part of God that is in each person that you meet; see that person for the God that is in him or her.

Much of what we see when we look at people is ego. To find the God in others, look past that ego to find the God within them. Yes, sometimes it’s easier to see than others. Just look past the surface and seek the light inside everyone. Allowing yourself to see the light inside others is a gift to you and a gift to them. It brings us all closer to God.

Living in Caves

Living in Caves

You have probably heard stories about enlightened gurus in India going off by themselves to live in caves, away from people and the world. Many of us today would like to do the same thing–to go off somewhere and avoid people and the world. But we can’t. We have to work and make a living, take care of our children, our parents, and others who depend on us. So we stay busy, working and doing, avoiding the things that we don’t like about the world and insulating ourselves within our homes, surrounded by those that we care about.

Our world today is one in which living in caves is not an option for spiritual people. Although many of us would like to get away from it all and live in peace by ourselves, we are needed in the world today. It is important for us to bring our spirituality and our love to the world. We can only do that by interacting with others. So please, shine your light and love on everyone around you. Help to bring peace into your corner of the world.
